Smith, along with her husband and three children, is now exploring the possibility of moving to Portugal after Canadian authorities ruled them ineligible due to their age.
Ottawa (Canada), December 8, 2025, BNN Web Staff: American influencer Pamela Smith, who relocated to Canada to escape her opposition to former President Donald Trump, has been denied permanent residency in the country.
Smith, along with her husband and three children, is now exploring the possibility of moving to Portugal after Canadian authorities ruled them ineligible due to their age.
“I don’t think they like people over 40,” Smith remarked, acknowledging Canada’s stricter rules for permanent residency aimed at ensuring housing and social supports are prioritized for citizens.
Smith stated that she plans to apply for an entrepreneur work permit to extend her stay in Canada.
However, if the application is not approved, the family will have to leave the country when their tourist visas expire at the end of March 2026.
She emphasized that she holds no ill will toward Canada, recognizing that the country is “looking out for their people.”
