Dubai (UAE), April 10, 2026 , BNN Web Staff: As a temporary ceasefire brings relief amid ongoing regional tensions, Dubai’s Ruler, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has called on citizens and residents across the UAE to raise the national flag as a symbol of unity and resilience.
The appeal comes after nearly 39 days of heightened conflict in the region, during which the UAE maintained stability despite security concerns. Highlighting the nation’s collective strength, Sheikh Mohammed said the country had faced the crisis with unity and emerged stronger through solidarity and loyalty.
Encouraging public participation, he urged people to display the UAE flag atop homes, institutions, and commercial buildings, describing it as a powerful emblem of national pride. He praised the role of both citizens and expatriates, noting that people from all walks of life stood together during a challenging period.
The leader also expressed pride in the UAE’s leadership, armed forces, economy, and the resilience shown by its residents. He shared a video tribute recognising individuals who remained steadfast throughout the crisis.
Despite security threats during the conflict, daily life in Dubai continued with a sense of normalcy. Public events, including major gatherings, proceeded as scheduled, reflecting confidence in the country’s preparedness and safety measures.
With the situation easing under a fragile ceasefire, the call to raise the national flag aims to reinforce a message of unity, stability, and national pride across the Emirates.
