In a highly anticipated “Sunday Night Football” showdown, it wasn’t the legendary Aaron Rodgers who stole the show, but his successor, Jordan Love, who delivered a stunning performance to lead the Green Bay Packers to a commanding 35-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The stage was set for a storybook night for Rodgers, facing the Packers for the first time since his storied 18-year tenure in Green Bay ended. The future Hall of Famer, who led the franchise to a Super Bowl victory and won four MVP awards, had a chance to make history by becoming just the fifth quarterback ever to defeat all 32 NFL teams.

Instead, the night belonged to Jordan Love. After a slow start left the Packers trailing 16-7 at halftime, Love was nearly flawless, orchestrating five consecutive scoring drives in the second half to turn the game into a blowout. He finished the game with a remarkable stat line, completing 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. At one point, he tied a franchise record by completing 20 consecutive passes, a feat last achieved by Brett Favre in 2007.

The loss marks a second consecutive deflating performance for the Steelers’ defense, which struggled to contain the Packers’ offense. Tight end Tucker Kraft was a primary beneficiary of Love’s precision, hauling in seven passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

While Rodgers finished with a respectable 24-of-36 for 219 yards and two touchdowns, the Steelers’ offense sputtered in critical moments, converting a dismal one of their ten third-down opportunities. The Packers, meanwhile, continue their impressive season, improving to 5-1-1 and solidifying their place among the NFL’s elite.
