White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt stated, “President Trump is deeply concerned by the BBC’s deliberate and dishonest editing of his speech.” Levitt confirmed that “the President’s outside counsel has filed a lawsuit against the BBC and we expect that lawsuit to continue.”
She further elaborated, “The President has made it clear that the BBC is a left-wing propaganda machine that is, unfortunately, subsidized by British taxpayers. And he believes that is extremely unfortunate for the great people of the United Kingdom and Great Britain.”
Trump’s Comments on Resignations
Defending his January 2021 speech as “good and perfect,” Trump claimed that top BBC officials, including “boss Tim Davey,” are “all resigning or being fired because they got caught tampering with my perfect speech of January 6th.”
He thanked The Telegraph for “exposing these corrupt journalists,” calling them “very dishonest people who tried to put a foot on the scale of a presidential election.” Trump added, “They are from a foreign country, which many consider our number one ally. What a bad thing for democracy.”
