Sydney (Australia), November 26, 2025-BNN Web Staff: Robert Irwin has captured the Mirror Ball trophy on the American edition of Dancing with the Stars, a decade after his sister Bindi claimed the same honour.
The 21-year-old wildlife conservationist and TV presenter, partnered with professional dancer Witney Carson, impressed audiences and judges with week-after-week standout performances.
Irwin faced stiff competition in the finale from influencer Alix Earle, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, actress Elaine Hendrix, and Dylan Efron, brother of Zac Efron.
The three-hour finale featured each couple performing three routines, with the final outcome determined by a combination of judges’ scores and audience votes.
Despite entering the finale with a rib injury that required Carson to adjust their choreography, Irwin excelled, earning 29 out of 30 points for his first dance and perfect scores on his final two routines.
After the judges’ scores, Irwin tied with Chiles at 89 out of 90, just behind Earle’s perfect 90. Audience votes ultimately pushed Irwin to victory.
Overcome with emotion after his final performance, Irwin dedicated his win to his late father, Steve Irwin, saying he hoped to make him proud.
