In a landmark verdict, a Bangladesh tribunal has sentenced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to death. The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) found her guilty on five severe counts of crimes against humanity.
The court has also issued an order for her arrest within three days.
The judgment, which spans 453 pages, was delivered by a three-judge panel led by Justice Golam Murtaza. The verdict was read out in six parts. The bench included, alongside Justice Murtaza, Justice Mohammad Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Justice Mohammad Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.
