UK Bank Monzo Launches ‘Double Payday’: 10 Lucky Customers Will Have Their Salary Doubled Every Single Month

Digital banking giant Monzo has just dropped the ultimate Christmas gift that everyone wants: a chance to literally double your salary – with zero effort required.
In a UK-first initiative called Double Payday, Monzo will randomly select 10 customers every month and match their entire take-home pay, depositing the bonus on their normal payday. That means someone earning £2,500 could wake up to £5,000. A £4,000 salary becomes £8,000. How it works
- From 8 December 2025, anyone whose employer pays their salary directly into a Monzo personal account via Bacs is in the draw.
- Every salary payment between £300 and £20,000 qualifies.
- Ten winners are chosen at random on the first working day of each month.
- The matching amount is paid on the customer’s usual payday – so the money lands exactly when they expect it, just doubled.

The launch builds on Monzo’s hugely popular “Paid Early” feature, which lets users access salaries up to £20,000 at 4pm the day before they’re officially due – a perk that has helped the neon-coral bank surge past 13 million UK customers this year, overtaking rival Starling Bank.
The fine print (it’s pretty generous)
- Only direct Bacs salary payments count (not self-employed income or pensions).
- You must receive your salary into Monzo by the last day of the month to be included in that month’s draw.
- The prize runs every month indefinitely – so you’re in with a chance again and again.
