Washington DC (US), June 30, 2026, BNN Web Staff: The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) has launched the second edition of its commemorative coffee table book, We The People – 250 Voices: A Tribute to the 250 Voices that Shaped the US-India Relations, during its flagship Leadership Summit in Washington, DC.

The launch took place on June 29 at the summit, themed America@250, which marked the 250th anniversary of American independence. The event also featured the premiere of a special video highlighting the publication.

The latest edition honours 250 individuals from diverse fields who have made significant contributions to strengthening ties between India and the United States over the years.

The list includes political leaders, diplomats, entrepreneurs, artists, academics, scientists, healthcare professionals, civil society members and cultural icons, representing both historical and contemporary figures.

According to USISPF, the publication is intended to recognise people whose work has helped deepen diplomatic, economic, cultural and people-to-people connections between the two countries. The organisation clarified that the list is not exhaustive but serves as a tribute to individuals whose contributions have shaped the bilateral relationship.

Among those featured in the book are historical personalities such as Abraham Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi, alongside contemporary leaders including Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and S. Jaishankar.

The publication also recognises business leaders, innovators and public figures such as Indra Nooyi, Shantanu Narayen, Ajay Banga, Priyanka Chopra, Sunita Williams, A. R. Rahman, Padma Lakshmi and Tenzin Gyatso, among others.

USISPF President and CEO Mukesh Aghi said the organisation’s objective has always been to transform strategic intent into meaningful outcomes and acknowledged the role of individuals who have invested their expertise and leadership in strengthening the India-US partnership.

The first edition of the coffee table book, released in 2022, commemorated 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and the United States. USISPF said the new edition places greater emphasis on the people whose contributions have helped build one of the world’s most significant strategic partnerships.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, with a presence in New Delhi, USISPF is an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing cooperation between India and the United States across business, government and civil society.
